Wearable QR Options

Flexible QR Identification Options

Excursion SafeCheck offers multiple QR wearable formats. Organisations choose the option that best aligns with their own safety policies and operational procedures.

Policy-first approach: All wearable options are presented equally. Each organisation is responsible for selecting the option that best aligns with their own student safety policies, age groups, and operational environment. No single option is recommended above another.

Option A

Safety Break-Away Lanyards

A QR-coded name badge worn around the neck on a break-away safety lanyard. The break-away feature means the lanyard releases immediately under pressure, supporting student safety throughout the excursion.

  • Break-away clip releases under pressure
  • QR code and student name clearly displayed
  • Suitable for primary and secondary students
  • Visible and easy to scan at checkpoints

ℹ️ Organisations should evaluate this option against their own student safety policies before use.

QR Name Badges

A clip-on or pin-on name badge with an integrated QR code. Attaches easily to clothing, jacket, or bag without requiring a lanyard. Practical for a wide range of age groups and environments.

  • Clip or pin attachment — no lanyard required
  • Clear QR code with student name
  • Suitable for a range of student ages
  • Quick to attach and remove

ℹ️ This option may be preferred in environments where lanyards are not appropriate.

QR Sticker Labels

An adhesive sticker label printed with the student's QR code and name. Attaches directly to clothing, jackets, bags, or name tags. A flexible, lightweight option for shorter excursions.

  • Adhesive application — no clips or lanyards
  • Lightweight and low-profile
  • Printable on standard label stock
  • Suitable for shorter excursions

ℹ️ Adhesive performance may vary based on fabric and environmental conditions.

QR Bag Strap Tags

A durable QR-coded tag designed to attach securely to a school bag strap or bag handle. Keeps the QR code visible without requiring students to wear anything on their person.

  • Attaches to bag strap or handle
  • Durable rigid-style tag format
  • Student name and QR code displayed
  • Does not need to be worn on the body

ℹ️ Most effective where students carry their bags consistently throughout the excursion.
